Ecology Spatial and Coastal Dynamics
Research Group
Our lab. Works within the spatial analysis, Geographic Information Systems, and Remote Sensing of the Research Center for Oceanography, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
The lab activities are mainly concentrated in the marine ecosystem in both coastal and offshore regions of Indonesia. Concerning the coastal environment, the primary focus is on habitat benthic and mangrove studies, emphasizing climate change mitigation and adaptation. Also, we conducted an impact assessment of urban heat islands in the coastal area megacities. Furthermore, we worked on fish migration, habitat characteristics, and modeling various oceanographic parameters in the offshore region.
